The subject in my photo essay is the beach and nature. I took my photos in paradise on the beach at Fort Myers Beach, Florida. I selected this location because I was on vacation when this assignment was assigned. Not only that but this place is very important to me for I have been traveling to this place for 12 years. I am so familiar with the place as if it was a second home. Throughout these images I am trying to portray journey and the sights you would see throughout a day. I arranged my images this way because it starts with a sunrise and ends with a sunset. All the images in between are sights you would see along the beach. The second photo is footsteps which shows that your journey is just beginning and it symbolizes the phrase "follow me." My photos are all unified because they were all taken in the same setting, at the beach.
Letters
Reflection: In the Alphabet Art, I did not create a word. I composed my pictures from objects inside and outside of the school. The "A" and the "K" were both taken in the engineering design classroom. The "A" is a tool that is commonly used and the "K" is a structure made out of wood. In photoshop, I cropped all of the photos and rotated one of the images. I feel as though my "T" has the most interesting composition because it is different colors then the rest of the photos. All of my photos are letters in the positive space but this photo creates the letter in the negative space. My letterforms are all unified because they are all are all formed from a physical structure. If I were to redo this project then I would've spelled my name so I could've hung this series of images in my room. A place that would be logical to photograph unified images would be the woods, a playground, or a city.
