Line and Shape
All of the pictures I took, were located in different parts of my backyard. The first picture was taken of a tree in my yard, the second was of a windmill decoration in my garden, the third was of my shed, the 4th was of a leaf of a plant in my backyard, the 5th was a close up of a flower in my garden, and the 6th was of a fence underneath my deck. Every picture excluding the third picture of my shed was a close up of the subject matter, although you can't see the full shed it still is much more zoomed out then the others. The first tree picture and a little bit of the windmill was shot from
below. The shed picture and fence was taken straight on. The leaf and single flower picture was taken from above. The pictures of the windmill and single flower did not have a specific direction, but the tree shot was definitely vertical as well as the lines in the shed picture. The leaf and the fence both have a diagonal effect of direction. Most of my pictures weren't eligible in being judged by the rule of thirds, but the one that stands out was the bottom line of the shed matching up with the rule of thirds bottom horizontal line. My most dynamic picture, I feel, was the tree picture which started from the bottom and lead your eyes through the picture and all the way up to the top.The lines of the bark also lead you in many different directions as they are not perfect straight lines.

Pattern and Texture
My favorite picture for the pattern and texture project was the bench in the courtyard. The subject of the picture was the bench and it was shot close up. The shot was shot straight on at a high angle from the bench, so it was not that above but it was mostly straight on and at an angle. The photo is horizontal with the lines of the bench going left and right directing the viewers eyes horizontally across the picture. The photo was shot at a diagonal angle so it was tough to get the rule of thirds Element into it, but the bottom part of the goes across the bottom line of the rule of thirds. The photo is an example of both pattern and texture, the lines of the bench create a pattern and the wood of the bench creates a sense of texture to the viewer as well as the sprinkles of water left over on the metal piece holding up the bench in the center of the photo adds texture.
The leaves picture could be a little overexposed with the main leaves being very white but this bright white adds contrast to the back leaves dark shade. The other picture that may be little overexposed is the crosswalk which is very very white compared to the test of the picture. The picture of the wood panels I feel is perfectly exposed, it's not too bright and it's not too dark it's simply in the middle. The wrestling mat is also properly exposed because the mat which is the surrounding of the focus is semi-dark but not too dark and the center of the mat is perfectly bright which makes you focus on the subject which is the center of the mat.
